64 slot ps2 server!!!!!!!!!!!!

i cant do it on saturday but i can sunday at the same time and i noticed that it crashed less with mods off so maybe it will work

I didn't see the server.

no i didnt forget i was just not able to get online at the time cuz my internet was messing up

My curiosity is too high and my patience too low. Time to have another go at this.

This Saturday at 9:00 pm EDT I will have my R&D server up and running with the enhanced server manager and set for 63 players. The name of the server will be "MAX PLAYERS" with no password. The server will be stripped down, no mods, no heroes, no AI's to eliminate some of the variables. It will be running minimal maps, large ones with no vehicles such as Hoth CTF, Kamino CTF and of course Death Star CTF.

Spread the word, try to get as many people in as possible.

The first objective is to see what happens when the 25th player tries to join. I did not have any luck with the main glitching server but it is heavily modded.

If we manage to get more than 24 players on, the second objective is to see how many over the initial 24 we can get in.

My R&D server does not have as robust a connection as the main server but it will do for this test.

Communicate any problems on the Glitching or Arena chat boxes. I'll be monitoring both.

Ok cool! I hope this works out! But dont you think It should be earlier then 9:00 p.m. because some people are already in school and they wont be able to stay online. (I will be able to come but IDK about others.)

EDT is Eastern Daylight Time. 9:00 Eastern is 6:00 Pacific so that should give everyone an opportunity to jump in. It's a Saturday night, so unless you are going to Sunday school it should not be a problem.

I do not expect this to be a long event. It is a test. The intent is to fill the server until it crashes, then repeat, so we know the limitations of the enhanced server manager. I'll start with the max at 32 players and increase it if we manage to reach that number. If by some miracle it's still running with 63 players, I'll keep increasing the number until it does crash.

The server test was a bust. The most players we had show up was 15. It also appears that every time a map ended everyone's PS2/PS3 would freeze, at least my PS3 would freeze and I saw everyone have to rejoin the server.

If you were in the test please give me some feedback as to what you encountered.

Maybe the slots just need to be lowered.

my apologies pyro i did get the word out to 2 other forums but they didnt seem to enthusiatic also my life is chaotic (hence CHAOS_gammer) lol and with my family things r rarely planed we ended up goin to the expendables today sorry i missed the test

i did a few tests in my server and my ps2 froze after each map i had it at 64 BUT i changed it to 32 and it didnt freeze any.

I think the bottom line is there really isn't a need for a 64 or 36 slot server. We already have more slots (servers) than we do players.

I'll stick to moddng for now
