Ace, what about a capacity test? You set the date and time, we'll spread the word throughout the SWBF2 community an then we'll see what your server can handle.

I would try this myself but I can't get that part of the HEX server manager to run.

Whenever you set a date and time for this "server test", just make a topic on the .com forums about it. I can also tell some clan guys to hop in if there is still room and the server didnt crash.

do u have tanks in the server? cause i would suggest your "test map" be a bigger map. One without tanks also. Ex. Kamino, Dagobah, Endor
If it can handle one of those maps, than i would try a smaller map, where there are many more explosions and constant fighting.

I finally figured out how to get AOWC to upload the h3x enhanced server manager to the Arena server. But alas it didn't do the trick. I still can't get it to stay at 26 player slots. I don't get it.

You don't set the number of players in the normal manner.

Click on "{H3X}-{SUITE}".

Click on "Launch Tools Suite!".

Click on "Player Number"


And that's as far as I get before getting a run time error

you can only set it using the server manager the remote doesent work

I was messing around with my personal server (Sho'Nuff's Shootin' Gallery) and was able to go over 24 slots. Just can't do it for the Arena.....yet.

I actually put it at 33 slots to see if an odd number would work and it did. But when I tried 64 slots, it locked up my PS2 when I joined the server! hahaha
Never seen that before. It froze the screen and the red Analog light turned off on my controller.

ugh ive seen that many times b4 lol n my old chaos_gammer name when i tried to join a server i would always look at the red light on my analog stick to c when it freezes lol 4 a long time i wouldnt play cuz it would take me like 10 tries just to play x.x glad i figured out it was just that name and when i got a new 1 everything worked fine lol

this is merely a guess however i think my old name had too many buddies and trying to transfer all that data is too much to handle so maybe 64 is like also too much data to b handled?

Well its good that you can go over 24, but I think it will probably just crash when too many people join. Can we test someone's server soon?

Well, now I'm bummed.

I actually got AOWC to do the whole installer thing for the h3x enhanced sm!
I typed up instructions for the tech to follow to make the server go over 24 player slots. He did them correctly and had the same results as you, Pyro. Crashed as soon as he hit to the Player Number button.
So, that's that. Now, I go downgrade my server from 26 slots to 24 cuzz there's no way to have more than 24 slots on a paid server.

I posted the issue I was having H3X enhanced server manager on the H3X labs forum. Astro recommended reinstalling and accepting the default values.

I tried this on my Win XP Pro R&D machine and it resolved the run-time error. I will be setting up a test server to see how many it will hold.

i finally got all the mods off my server so we can use it
i noticed with the mods of it crashed more often....
so i can test it when everyones ready

Pyro, I saw last night that the Official Glitching Server had 3/36 players. Did you ever get over 24 people in it?

We had finally resolved our previous crashing issue on the Glitching server by removing the AI. We had a stable game for a solid week with no crashes and were up to 24 players numerous times. I had also managed to get the H3X enhanced server manager to work on my R&D server, at least to the point where it wouldn't display errors. We were feeling pretty cocky so we installed the enhanced manager on the main server to see what happens.

I monitored the number of players and the server would crash when the number exceeded 24. Other people reported getting the message that the server is full when trying to connect.

We switched back to the regular v1.1 server manager. We'd rather have a stable 24 player game than have all the crashes. I am interested to see if ACE or anyone else has better luck.
