PC Version

Hey, I've been really wanting to tryout some of those PC maps and mods. So, I went looking again for the PC version of SWBF2.

Last time I checked (in 2009) it was outa print and the only way you could get it was to bid on a used copy from eBay for like $100!!

But I just checked Amazon.com today and it's on there! And it's cheap too!

There's 2 that I found.
One has the big box and all that. Plus, it's CD-ROM. Multiple discs I assume. $12.99 is the price now.

The other is a DVD-ROM. And it's just a disc in a sleeve. No box, no instructions, just one game disc. That's only $7.20 right now!

I can find the PC version new on the shelf of my local (Philadelphia area) Micro Center store for $6.99.

Look for a local store in your area.

For myself I downloaded the PC version via Steam. It lists for $19.99 (but I got it when it was on sale for $9.99).

The Steam download is the latest fully patched v1.1 release from Lucas Arts. Best $10 I ever spent.

yeah it is good,but the controls are sorta harder than the PS2's version,but thats just me.

i think there is a ps2 shaped controller for the PC, if i got the PC version i would have to get that because arrows and the mouse suck for games.

I use Logitech Dual Action Gamepads with my laptop and workstations.

It's a low end model but you can find them anywhere for $20.

I set it up as best as I could to emulate my PS3 controler. There are a few problems in that the PC version does not have some of the dual functions that the Playstation does. For example, on the PC version there is one key for "crouch" and another for "roll". I haven't found a way yet to get the "crouch/roll" assigned to a single button as it is on the Playstation.

Also, I'm not 100% sure but I think XBox controlers are PC compatable as well.

i got a controller like that for my pc but i never could get it to work x.x i even had my friend who good with comps help me but nuffin x.x lol btw cool signiture pyro lol
