Fantasy Football

It's that time of year again! I probably shoulda done this earlier, but it is still pre-season.

I'm gonna make another Fantasy Football league today or tomorrow.
Last year, we did an {Apocalypse} league but only 4 Apoc guys joined. So, I ended up having to open the league up to the public. And Grizz stomped our collective a$$es!
This year, lets try to get all SWBF2 players in the league! I'm gettin payback this time!

If you're interested, reply here or send me a PM. I wanna do the custom "League Manager" type of league, so I think all members have to be invited thru email.

Season Starts Sept. 9th! So, I'll schedule the draft for Labor Day (9/6) to give us all enough time to adjust our rosters before the Thursday game.

What site do u run it on? If Yahoo than im assuming its a live draft? and if ESPN is it auction or snake?

I love fantasy football now i never played before last year and i cant believe i didnt do it sooner lol in my first year a was in 5 leagues and won all but 1 hehe and 2 of those leagues i won money hehe

last year was espn standard but this one will be custom and prob a live draft maybe? not sure which one shonuff will use, yahoo you have to have a yahoo account only! so espn again or has anyone tried nfl.com fantasy maybe that one i never tried it. but even if this takes a week extra and we play one less week just to make this happen we should for sure do this!

It's easy to play. If you've never done a fantasy sport, you'll be able to figure out how it works real quick. Perfect example - last year was Grizz's first year and he won it all and had the best record!
I had 2nd best record in only my 2nd year but got beat in the Championship game.
This year the Boss takes it all!

to put in it gammer terms fantasy football is allot like an rpg game where your trying to get the best characters with abilities into a lineup week to week to beat your enemy using real nfl players instead, and players can progress like a character from an rpg game sorta lol

the draft is set for this wednesday sept 15th at 6pm eastern!

the league will be starting in a few days! for those of you that dont know time zones the draft is at 6pm eastern so thats 5pm central, 4pm mountain, 3pm pacific lol
and if you cant make it be sure to set up your auto draft or it will pick the players for you

for those of you in the league and new to fantasy football here is a rundown of the simple basics of how to play.

1 each week you pick a starting lineup from your team, all the players have a projected totals and you usually start the players with the highest point projection for that week, but not always sometimes you go by knowledge and instinct, also dont start injured or suspended players as they wont earn you points that week.

2 each week you are playing against someone in the league and your goal is to score more points than them based on what your players do in the real games to get the victory. * you can check out how the players earn points in the league settings

3 as the season moves along some players get hurt or just dont do well so each week you can swap out players from your team with new players that arent on any one elses teams thru the free agent waivers.

4 your goal is to win enough games to be one of the top 4 teams at the end of the season so you play in the playoffs for a chance at the championship.

these are the basics and there is a little more to it but once you get going it gets easy and if you dont watch football you just might find yourself watching games or highlights looking for your players to see what they did lol and may even become a football fan along the way lol

Only have 1 question, how does defence earn points?

its in the scoring section of the league settings

defence/special teams are together and added together into one total

def gets points from the real life team for interceptions,sacks,fumbles recovered,how many points they hold the other team to so the less the better.

special teams get points for return yards,and kick return touchdowns, and blocking kicks

there might be a few more ways of scoring so go look at how you get points in the settings

Man, I can't believe I lost my first game! My team got a big score 113, but Bouncer's team scored 130!

It's especially nice to know that I was beaten by an auto-drafted team managed by an inactive manager.

I think the Warriors were the only team with an active manager that actually won their first game.

i bet ur refering to me huh? XP lol sorry guys i wanted to do this but i really just dont have the time with college junk and we r about to move again.. sigh well at least i always keep my junk packed lol
