New Map Voting System

Here's the latest and greatest idea for the Arena map rotation...


Over the years we've discovered the most popular maps. And those maps are in the rotation twice (both eras). But just one of the eras is enough for some maps and some really aren't popular so they don't go in the rotation at all.


Now we've made 2 "Wildcard Maps" in the rotation.
And these will change from time to time based on Player Input!


These are the maps currently running in the Arena (in order):

The current Wildcard maps are Endor CTF and Naboo Conquest.
The last major battle and the first major battle in the Star Wars movies... well, sorta.


Now we'll have pairs of maps to choose from that will replace those 2 maps based on how you - The Players Vote!



The Poll above is the first set of pairs that we've come up with. But you can help change that too (if they suck) by not only voting above but by posting your ideas too!
It just has to be one Galactic Civil War (Empire vs. Rebels) and one Clone Wars (Clones vs. Droids).
And they can't be in the rotation already.

I voted tantive FELUCIA only cause we NEVER see felucia. I mean most of us have been playing BF2 since what, 04? 7 yrs! 6ish runnin the same 3 or 4 maps. Am i the only one that would like a lil variety? I mean i have my favs too but id really rather run a couple naboos or geo ( not a fan of naboo or geo) a day then DS or the other 2 favs all day. i guess my ranting is for nothing tho cause if i get my way (all maps) 1, no one will join , or 2 not many will see my rant anyway

i want felucia too its the only map with no ammo or health droids. its a very maze like map with uneven terrain which makes for great battles!

in the past we had full epic battles on felucia and sometimes half the server emptys out but thats because felucia is a map that seperates the men from the boys hahaha

DANG! You're right. Someone stole them all. Dang kids! I told them to stay off my lawn. No Droidekas either, that's piss poor, just like Mustifar.

i never understood that they dont put the droideka on some maps which is stupid, and false advertising because in the intro to the game it shows a droideka on mustafar!

and thats a trip no helper droids on felucia. maybe thats why no one likes it.
also holy crap, never noticed the lack of droitekas on musty. i wonder why they're not there. Some storyline thing or or something maybe

Anyway im always goin to arena 1st as long as someone is in there and it has more then 3 maps + the timer

the players that know the game and have been playing awhile love that map! because its hard and its the king engie map so rookies get crushed and there for leave and start crying


if you want to be good and learn the games shooting and tossing angles, felucia and dagobah are some of the best places for that.

I like Felucia myself but I'm not fond of conquest and never will be again. That's the reason I never play on .com because the first battlefront was conquest only and once I started playing CtF, conquest quit being interesting for me. I guess when I'm on the server I'll just spectate the conquest maps until they are over if that's okay with everyone. I actually hate conquest after playing CtF for so long. Oh yeah, I also hate Jabba's Palace and Tantive 4 period due to both being det-pack whore and rocket whore cappable maps. You actually have to be one or the other to move around on those inclosed maps...... I wish there was a way to mod both maps to grunts only even when heroes are out if you picked one you'd still be a grunt. I highly doubt there's a way to do that for those two maps by themselves without it doing it to the whole server though.......

Felucia won with 50% of the vote!

So Endor CTF Galactic Civil War has been replaced with Tantive IV Conquest GCW.
And Naboo Conquest is out, Felucia CTF Clone Wars is in the Rotation!

Map Rotation

Yavin 4 and Kashyyyk have been subbed into the rotation in the wildcard map slots enjoy!

I like both maps. Yavin 4's moons are beautiful if you take the time to look straight up at them. Yeah, I often get bored on the game and goof off every now and then. If I'm goofing off on Yavin 4, I use a darkie to get ontop of the temple and just look straight up at the moons/moon and chill there a few. I love Kayshyyk as well. That map is a lot of fun. Especially when you use a speeder bike or a StAT to get to the jet trooper/Jango Fett spots in the tree tops then use your rockets on unsuspecting enemies below. I got five kills in one rocket like that the other day. lol

Damn, I always end up running out of ammo on Felucia

pick the engie it is the best class for felucia and dont use the det packs! when you run out of health and ammo packs you can go to an op and switch classes a couple times to build back up to full with the engie.
