There was an old DOS game from Interplay called "Battle Chess" where the pieces actually did battle with each other. You could play against the computer or against another player locally or via dial up modem. Still available for $6 from Good Old Games. I may put that on my Chrismas list.

In a 12v12 match on the smaller maps, rockets are definitely the dominant class. Especially when you can get kills while u are waiting to respawn.

An engineer is always much more efficient than a rocket.
